- A passing score on the ELA and Math Smarter Balanced (SBA) tests is a Washington state graduation requirement.
2021 Fall Tests
SBA ELA Test: October 18th - 9th, 11th and 12th graders
SBA Math Test: October 19th - 9th, 11th and 12th graders
WCAS (Science) Test: October 20th - 9th and 12th graders
The sophomores' attendance on October 18 -20, 2021 is not mandated until 10:00 am. If they do attend, they will be assigned to a designated sophomore academy based on their last name. Posters will be displayed with room locations.
The juniors' attendance on October 20, 2021 is not mandated until 10:00 am. If they do attend, they will be assigned to a designated junior academy based on their last name. Posters will be displayed with room locations.
Note: Students will stay in their designated testing room or academy during testing from 7:55 - 9:55 am.

Reminders
- Charge your laptop nightly
- Restart your laptop at least once weekly to force
important updates
- Leave your charger at home - they all look the same and
cost $25 to replace if lost
- Need a charge at school?
Bring yours to the library. We will charge it and supply you with a loaner
laptop until yours is ready.
- Loaners are due back by the end of the school day unless
yours is ‘out for repair’
Important Testing Reminders
SBA Testing will take
place on October 18th-20th from 7:55-9:55 am
- Sophomores will not be testing any of the three days
- Their attendance is not mandated until 10 am
- Any sophomore arriving before 10 am will be accommodated in a Sophomore Academy and given the opportunity for independent work time.
- Juniors will not be testing on Wednesday, October 20th
- Their attendance on October 20th is not mandated until 10 am
- Any junior arriving before 10 am on October 20th will be accommodated in a Junior Academy and given the opportunity for independent work time.
Be prepared!
- Make sure laptops are charged - we are not supplying
chargers for testing
- Look for posters around the school to find your testing
room
- Wired earbuds will be needed on Monday, October 18.
Bluetooth headphones will not be allowed. Contact Mrs. Duplissey if you
need a set of earbuds for testing.

each morning
During testing:
- No electronics allowed (cell phones, smartwatches,
Bluetooth devices of any kind, etc.)
- Devices must be turned off and stored, off the body
entirely, and away from reach.
- When you are done testing, you will be asked to sit or
read quietly. No backpack access will be allowed once testing has started
- put a book under your chair.
- Even if you are done, you may not take out your
electronic device while others are still testing.
- No movement through the building will occur during
testing time, including from one Academy to another.
2022 Spring Tests
10th grade students will take the ELA and Math SBA tests.
11th and 12th grade students will be given the opportunity to take ELA and Math SBA tests if needed for makeups.
