TeachingBooks.net is an easy-to-use website that adds a multimedia dimension to the reading experiences of children's and young adult books. Our online database is developed and maintained to include thousands of resources about fiction and nonfiction books used in the K–12 environment, with every resource selected to encourage the integration of multimedia author and book materials into reading and library activities.
Audiobooks are great options for many readers.
You can access audiobooks two ways at NKHS:
1. Kitsap Regional Library Digital Audiobook Collection
Go to www.krl.org to browse. You may use your own KRL library card to checkout up to 10 audiobooks at one time. These are good for three weeks. Use your downloaded book on your desktop, MP3 player, or IPod.
The NKHS Library has MP3 players available for use with the KRL digital audiobooks. Once you've found a book you'd like to hear, let library staff know. We'll download the book onto an MP3 player and do our best to have it ready for you by the next school day. It will count as one of your five library checkouts. Replacement cost is $60.
NKHS Library has a subscription to Audible.com for teacher requests. Please let library staff know the title and student for whom the audiobook is intended.
