Warm Greetings:

My name is Isbel Jeannette Lozada, I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, an island in the Caribbean that is a United States Territory. I studied at the University of Puerto Rico Arecibo Campus, where I graduated with honors: Magna Cum Laude, I continued studying at several universities such as: American University and Caribbean University in Puerto Rico. I started my teaching career in 1999. I have taught different grade levels and subjects; Spanish Language Arts for Spanish speakers in Puerto Rico, and English as a Second Language as well. Spanish for Elementary school students in Puerto Rico. Spanish Language Arts to adults in Puerto Rico, Spanish to Honor Students in Memphis, Tennessee and also work with the Special Education Department for the Department of Defense Educational Activity Europe, (DoDEA) in Naples Middle/High School in Naples, Italy.

I hold several teacher licenses from a variety of states. I have an Elementary School teaching license, English as a Second Language pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, and Spanish pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade in the States of: Puerto Rico, Florida, Tennessee and Washington. I collaborated writing the Spanish Curriculum for the fusion of two Boards of Education in Memphis, Tennessee. I have traveled to many countries, which has enriched my life in all aspects. I have visited countries such as Spain, Israel, England, the Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Greece, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Italy where I lived for three and a half years. I love languages, Spanish is my first language, I speak English, Italian and have some knowledge of arabian language. Fate brought me to Washington, specifically to Norht Kitsap High School, where I have the honor of teaching the beautiful Spanish language. Teaching this class at this school is truly an exciting honor! This class is your journey to learn Spanish. I am very excited, and I am very privileged to have this opportunity, to give a little of myself and facilitate the teaching process to my students. My experience and my education have equipped me to be an excellent educator, working hard to help the students become lifelong learners, successful human beings, capable of being more human each day.
