Here is a little about me.
I was born and raised in Europe and moved to the US my freshman year in High School. I lived in Pennsylvania the first two years and then moved to Washington. I graduated from Western Washington University with a B.A. in German and English, got my Translator and Interpreter Degrees from Karl Franzens University
in Graz, Austria, and my M.Ed. from the University of Washington. I worked both as an Interpreter and
as a Translator, but my love and passion have always been teaching. I have been here at North Kitsap High School for eighteen years (some may remember me as Ms. Soldan) and absolutely love the school,
community, and especially our great students. I live in Poulsbo with my son Jacob and daughter Katy. We love the outdoors and spend a lot of time hiking, backpacking, camping, rafting, mountainclimbing, skiing, etc. in our free time. I am also an avid reader and love to teach students about the great authors of the past and present, as well as learning about some new ones from them. My hope every year is that each student will discover at least one book that they will remember for the rest of their life.
