Prerequisite: Athletic Medicine I, II or Instructor permission
Credit Type: Career & Technical Education (CTE) Credit or Science Credit
Students will learn:
Muscles anatomy and types
Name, origin, insertion, and palpation of the main muscles of the body
Different types of actions the muscle provide
Foundations of rehabilitation techniques
Fundamentals of strength and condition
Medical/Health occupations careers
Emergency First Aid/CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certification
Passing Athletic Medicine I, II, and III with a "B" or better in all three classes will earn a student college credit at Eastern Washington University.
Additional credit can be earned by participation after school in the athletic training room.
