Prerequisite:                 Athletic Medicine I, II or Instructor permission   


Credit Type:                 Career & Technical Education (CTE) Credit or Science Credit


Students will learn:

  • The study of human movement:

               Muscles anatomy and types

               Name, origin, insertion, and palpation of the main muscles of the body

               Different types of actions the muscle provide

  • Exercise Physiology

  • Foundations of rehabilitation techniques

  • Fundamentals of strength and condition

  • Medical/Health occupations careers

  • Emergency First Aid/CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certification

Passing Athletic Medicine I, II, and III with a "B" or better in all three classes will earn a student college credit at Eastern Washington University. 


Additional credit can be earned by participation after school in the athletic training room.
