Prerequisite:                      Athletic Medicine I or Instructor permission  

Credit Type:                     Career-Technical Education (CTE) Credit or Science Credit


This course builds upon the principles learned in Athletic Medicine. 

Students will learn:

  • Injury rehabilitation and application of rehabilitation principles

  • Human anatomy through hands-on sessions

  • More in-depth anatomy and physiology

  • More medical terminology

  • Therapeutic modalities and when to use them

  • Anatomy, injuries, injury management, and rehabilitation of:

               Knee and hip


               Elbow, wrist and hand

               Chest, abdomen, and back


Additional credit can be earned by participation after school in the athletic training room.
